“We loved this place! So peaceful and so beautiful. We were greeted, showed around, given free cookies and then taken up the cool outdoor elevator to our beautiful penthouse room. We loved having the bikes to ride around and see the sights and do a little shopping. Then to come back and relax with the complimentary wine, cheese & crackers. They suggested great places to dine that evening and lunch the next day. We loved going down in the morning and getting our coffee and pastries and sitting outside our room on the balcony and watching the boats come and go. Cannot say enough wonderful things about this beautiful place.”

“They say you get what you pay for, and that is absolutely true for the Burrus House Inn. We had a fantastic stay, and the staff could not have been more helpful. The location is fantastic, less than one mile from the quaint downtown. Our decks, yes decks, overlooked the water; sitting on the deck with our coffee and breakfast made us feel like we were in a Hallmark movie setting, or perhaps Cabbott Cove, from Murder She Wrote. Also, the room is really a suite, and not like an Embassy Suites, more like having your own beach house. We loved this Inn and town so much, we are planning a trip back with friends.”

Our suite was so spacious with plenty of space for spreading out, reading, and eating with beautiful views of the sound. Super comfortable bed. Our suite also had three decks with lovely views of water and wildlife! The staff was friendly, accommodating, and easy to reach by phone and text. The location was great. Downtown Manteo is a quick bike ride away. There is super easy kayak/paddleboard access on site. We were able to easily drive to Nags Head, Jockey’s Ridge, Bodie Lighthouse, and several beaches.”
